929 Salina Letter to committee members

 

Dear all,

 

I feel kind of sad and breathless when reading Mr. Jen's email with tears after his turning us down for celebrating his 90th years birthday.

 

On the other hand I am happy for being invited firmly for Mr. Jen's 95 years birthday.  He knows his health situation so he can make such a commitment which is a load off my mind.  It will be very precious for the long appointment which sets 7 years ahead .  What he said reminds us that we are still young though we think differently. I should value what I have and enjoy the moment I am now with.  What I feel sorry for is he himself brought up the lament over his passed wife which was once brought up but denied by us for fear of affecting the joyful atmosphere.  Also I regret for not taking the chance to talk with Mr. Jen more or taking one picture as I have to wait another 7 years for the 2nd chance. ..

 

Stephen, A big thanks for bringing the Lounge King Lee to the party at your own expense.  We all enjoy his song and his unique dancing style.  Your spending 3 months time learning brush writing, reading over Mr. Jen's book in English and Chinese versions over and over for making the quiz and donating  over 30 valuable  leather jackets warm our heart.  We are so fortunate to have you. Thank you.

 

Time flies.  From our first meeting on Feb 9 at the small Italian restaurant near Linmark 7 months has gone by.  This Grand Reunion has linked us together.  I hope we committee members can still get together or Andrew will be very lonely for nothing to do within next 7 years.  Next time we shall visit Peter's new apartment for celebration.
