Dear All Linmarkers,

 

I believe there are many of you are excited same as I do. We went home after the 9/24 party and took a shower went to bed. I lay on my bed and closed my eyes, all the familiar faces flash over my mind and could not get to sleep until 3:00 AM in the morning. And next day we still have a tour.

 

For this meaningful reunion, I would like to thank all of you to attend the gathering. Without you, all the efforts are in vain. We have Polly came all the way from Brazil. Mr. Whitburn came back from UK. Many of you from USA east coast and west coast. There are colleagues from Canada, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, China. And Hong Kong has 20 people attended the reunion. Of course, Taiwan was originally the biggest office, we had about 140 people attend the gathering.

 

At the dinner, you may heard that the source of gets up of this reunion. About 5 years ago, I traveled every year to LA and visiting some of our ex-Linmark colleagues. I have heard that they have small gatherings occasionally. So each time when I arrive, I always request for the gathering. The biggest one was in Corrina's house. At that time we made a list of contact of LA vicinity. After that, Salina was there, and Catherine was there, all have different gathering. Since Mr. Whitburn will go to LA almost every year, Daniel and Peter informed me we can arrange a party when Mr. Whitburn came to LA. So we kept on communicating and fit everybody's schedule and have the Nov. 6, 2011 meeting at Beatrice's House. Mr. Whitburn is the host. After we come back, I start to compile the Linmark employee's name book with correspondence method. We are trying to link everybody together. During that time, I got the initial list from Richard Chen who was the inspector and then worked as chief of hard goods in Linmark. They already had meeting almost every year. After that we keep on finding out the lost contact people. I would like to thank Catherine, Iris, Salina, Dana, Jensen, Chen Yeuh Yun (陳月雲), etc who gave me some contacts for me to try. There must be more people who contribute the contact but I cannot remember, sorry about that. So I tried my best to contact them. That is the reason why I people may receive my call in early morning of Sunday.

 

This year in Mar. we received E-mail from Peter that Daniel and Peter proposed a Global Reunion. They were trying to make a group to come back to Taiwan. After that Peter wrote an E-mail to Mr. Jen inviting him to join the reunion. Then Mr. Jen's reply was he is going to sponsor the reunion. After that we formed a committee to prepare for the gathering.

 

We would like to thank Steven who fly to Taiwan couple times for the committee meeting. He contribute a lots of ideas and the program run down. Also he organized the HK team to join the reunion. In this reunion, we see so many of us has such a passion to the Linmark. We can feel all of you has the Linmark spirit in your blood and in your soul.

 

We promise you Linmark reunion will keep on going. It maybe not in such a big scale. We can report to Mr. Jen on the reunion each year. At least, in Taiwan we can do it. However we propose every country can start their own reunion and the correspondence list. I knew HK already had reunion many times already and I attended the big one in April 2010. 

 

Again, we would like to thank to all of the donators. Of course, Mr. Jen is the biggest donator. The other donators were on Linmark Blog. We thank you. We apologize to the donators due to the tight schedule, there were some gift of the lucky draw were not executed in time. It was shared by the ones who left in the last. However this is an exciting gathering and the best memory to every attendants.

 

We are lucky to have Andrew with us. After we worked out the reunion, then we realize there are so many details to be done. Thank you Andrew, it is a good job.

 

As Mr. Jen said to everybody, stay well. Do what you think is good for you. Keep a young mind and healthy.
