526, Re.: Alumni's Singing Show on 9/24 Global Reunion Party

Dear Salina,

Yes, Stephen Cheung is an excellent singer for English and Cantonese songs, so is Peter Kuo for English songs, and Charles Kao for Chinese songs.

Salina, I do fully agree with you and Peter Kuo to encourage more good singing alumni to sing on our reunion party.   Later, we'll check with all alumni for singing performance during the reunion party.  Also, our music band recommended by Catherine Yeh has a very good lady singer for old English and Chinese songs.  I think we can make our reunion party very joyful, exciting and memorable.

However, since our banquet room can load 18 tables maximal, but we need 16-17 tables (192 to 204 persons), so there will be no room for dancing performance. Especially, International Standard Dancing would be impossible, as it needs very big ball room. But, we can ask Daniel to present a short DVD about 10 minute record show in a full song/dance.  Daniel, can this be arranged?

Stephen,  In view the tight space and crowded alumni, I think we don't need to invite other singers or performers from Hong Kong or Taiwan. Let more alumni to have more chances to perform. Besides, you and Peter can sing several nice songs, not just one each only.  Also, we'll make sure every alumni will do nice show or singing in advance, i.e. some kind of simple rehearsal is needed before allowing any one to sing on stage.  Also, we can choose several nice songs for all alumni to sing together.  So, no need for professional singers or performers according to most committee members’ opinions.

Oh, I almost forgot. Mr. Jen is also an excellent singer.  We can listen to his songs, or sing together with him, too. That would make the party even more exciting and memorable.

Have a nice day !

Andrew Wang
